I am graduating with a B.A. in Psychology. I currently work with two young boys ages 4 and 2 1/2. I have been with them for 2 years now. After graduation I am going to New York for the summer to work as a camp counselor with children ages 4-16 who have behavioral, learning, and emotional problems. And hopefully in a year I am going to be at grad school in Missouri working toward my Ph.D. in Counseling with an emphasis in women's studies so I can get a specialization in eating disorders.

Current Status: I am a senior with a psychology major and a community conflict resolution minor. Currently I teach gymnastics at a local dance academy in my hometown, which sparked my interest in school psychology. In the fall I will be attending the University of Wisconsin in Whitewater where I will receive my masters in education and specialist in school psychology degrees (if I don't freak out).

 Still graduating in 2001.
 After graduation, I plan on pursuing a doctorate in clinical child psychology. (No responses back from grad schools though.)
 My current position is thankfully a Senior.

Still double majoring in psychology and Spanish (and strongly encourage members of the other classes to study abroad in Costa Rica. It was one of my best experiences here at NCC)
 My current age has progressed to 21 and I plan on staying this old.
 I am currently employed by The Heritage Group YMCA but if things go well tomorrow morning, I will be employed by DePaul University as a research assistant this summer.
Finally, while psych of adolescence was enthralling, I'll have to change that one now to being Counseling Psychology!!!!!!!!!;~)

I am from Clarendon Hills, IL and went to Hinsdale South High School.  I am a psych major and IDS and music minor.  I teach piano, clarinet, and saxophone.  I will be a junior next year. I am also in Psi Chi.  I expect to graduate in June 2001.  My future plans are still up in the air.  I am going to grad school and on to get my doctorate if the funds are still available.  I am finding PSY 255 very interesting so I am leaning towards research right now.

Currently, I'm a third year student (almost a fourth year) in Arizona State University's school psychology program.  I received my M.A. in educational psychology in December 2001 and will soon take my comprehensive exams (August 2002).  I work as a research assistant on a federal grant which aims to increase parent involvement in schools (http://aperc.asu.edu).  This year my job includes teaching ESL classes for parents.

After graduating with a BA in Psychology, French and Conflict Resolution, I started training with Peace
Corps in West Africa.  I am in my third year of service in Guinea, working as a liaison between volunteers and the administration.  I taught English for two years in a village called Kankalabé and am now in the city of Boké.  The critical thinking and problem-solving skills I gained as a Psych major at NCC are applicable everyday in my work.  I plan to enter a graduate program in Linguistics upon my return to the States.  Please contact me at rokhaya4@yahoo.com.

After graduating NCC in '98 with a BA in psych, I worked as a resident assistant in group homes for the mentally ill with DuPage County Health Dept.  Then I went to graduate school in clinical neuropsychology at Finch Univ of Health Sciences/Chgo Med School.  After a year there, I decided I would rather be in med school.  I am currently a neuropsychology technician downtown, and am going to school to get my prerequisite science course for med school.  I am currently at Loyola, but it's too expensive so I'll be going elsewhere soon.  My goal for med school is Northwestern, where I'd like to specialize in neurology or neurosurgery.
